Expansion 101

This initiative is seeking to provide information and context to startups looking to expand into new markets. Currently, we are consolidating information for Nigeria & Kenya and we will roll it out to more countries through partnerships with resident hubs. We will make available an open-source repository that startups can use to get more context on a new market (country)

Open IoT Programme

In September 2020, in partnership with GSMA Africa, CcHUB launched a pan-African IoT (Internet of Things) community platform. Dubbed ‘Building Wakanda’, the platform is facilitating conversations relevant to the growth of the African IoT ecosystem, build awareness about the work being done by various stakeholders, and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration towards common goals

Maarifa Kona Innovation Labs

ICT innovators in agriculture from across six African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda) were supported in their development of innovation and grow the entrepreneurship capacity in agriculture

The Hack4Farming series addresses the challenges in agricultural and takes into context current insights, relevant and specific to farmers’ locations and circumstances

Together with the World Bank, iHub hosted the Nairobi Negawatt Challenge in 2015 to empower communities to innovate around local energy issues
