6th Sankalp Africa Summit

Since its launch in 2009 Sankalp Forum – an Intellecap Initiative – has created an  ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, multilaterals and policy makers who are committed to furthering the cause of development through entrepreneurship and innovation. We are happy to announce that the 6th Sankalp Africa Summit will be hosted in Nairobi, Kenya at Kenya School of Monetary Studies from 21st-22nd February, 2019.

There are many reasons to attend but the following stand out.

  1. One of the largest convenings of social entrepreneurs who are reshaping Africa’s development landscape: The 2018 edition of Sankalp Africa witnessed over 400 entrepreneurs belonging to sectors like health, agriculture, energy, fintech and more!
  2. The go-to place for Investors who want to drive capital towards purpose driven enterprises:  Sankalp has grown into one of Africa’s largest events for channeling capital by gathering key investors and the region’s most promising and scalable enterprises.
  3. Dialogue backed with action: Through it’s annual enterprise awards and innovation showcases, Sankalp brings it’s audience face to face with game changing ideas and determined entrepreneurs.
  4. Sector insights from global and local experts: Sankalp brings together practitioners and industry leaders to deliberate over common trends, challenges and solutions.

The summit, is usually attended by 1,000+ delegates, this year it is centered around the theme ‘Accelerating unlikely alliances to build an inclusive Africa’ and is expected to once again bring together entrepreneurs, investors, funders, governments, corporates and other ecosystem builders under one roof.

This year the Summit is designed to initiate dialogue and enable action at the base of the pyramid across five high impact sectors: Agriculture, Livelihoods, Clean Energy, Health and Financial Inclusion.
