Business Developer


UNTAPPED Water Limited Kenya provides lease financing and technical services to help local operators deploy PAYGO water systems and improve last-mile delivery of safe water in East Africa for water utilities, water entrepreneurs and real estate developers.

We are looking for 2 ambitious and energetic Business Developers to help us expand our pipeline of water projects. You will be presenting our offer to the relevant players in the Kenyan water ecosystem to source new deals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and networking to identify relevant markets for our offer
  • Arrange business meetings with utilities and water entrepreneur to present the company
  • Negotiate and structure leasing deals for large water projects
  • Prepare Memorandums of Understanding and sales contracts
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Follow-up leads in a structured way


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a business developer, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Previous experience in the water sector is preferred  (1-2 years)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and English
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and planning skills
