On International Women's Day, we announced our plans to grow the number of socially and economically empowered women entrepreneurs who run women-owned/women-led sustainable businesses working in the tech sector. Women running tech businesses can now apply for our women in business program here.
Through this program we want to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs to own and lead sustainable business working in the tech sector, increase the number of women-owned and women-led companies working in the tech space that can handle big money projects and strengthen collaboration between different actors in the tech and innovation sector in order to utilise the learning and perspectives generated by the Women in Business programme to make evidence-based and credible contributions to relevant national and global policy discourses.
We’re looking for Kenyan women with registered businesses that are building innovative, scalable products. Participants will get priority access to iHub networks, 6 months of customized support, mentorship and coaching. They will also get resources on customer acquisition, marketing, accounting, legal requirements, business strategy, leadership and technology tools, infrastructure and management. You can see details of these perks here.
Through this program, the ecosystem of women in business will also get to meet technology industry experts and get first-hand insight on opportunities and available resources in the tech space. More information on these forums will soon be shared on our events page.
We're excited to see the world-class women-owned and women-led businesses that surface through this program so apply now! Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
This program is being implemented with the support of our mentors and partners from Oracle, Google, Triple OK Law, and Safaricom.
