China Learning Event, Nairobi
Earlier this year, the FiDA Partnership traveled to China to learn first hand through an immersive and intense study tour, about how technology innovation has accelerated access to financial services in the country. They met with top executives at the leading companies in-market, tried out live products on the streets of Beijing, and visited mom-and-pop stores and other small businesses that are at the heart of the booming Chinese digital economy.
While the future of fintech in Africa may not be identical to the experience in China, there is still a lot we can learn. This is the first in a series of Learning Events that will be hosted around Africa, Europe, and the US.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in the topic. But will probably relate best to fintechs, technology service providers, mnos, etc
The event will be lead by Hilda Moraa, CEO of Pezesha and Sieka Gatabaki, Digital Finance Lead at MercyCorp AgriFin Accelerator.
Date: 9th October 2018
Time: 6.00 PM - 8.00 PM
Venue: iHub, 6th Floor, Senteu Plaza
