Following on from their recent #BigBangMoment, it’s time to announce another huge success for our Accelerator startup INURU - they have just been named as the winner of the “New Material” category at the prestigious German Packaging Awards 2017.
Organized by the German Packaging Insitute (DVI) in Berlin, the German Packaging Awards 2017 is the most distinguished packaging performance competition in Europe. It is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and has been honoring brands, such as Nivea and Tetra Pak, with its awards since 1963.
The competition attracted around 200 submissions from 12 countries, making the selection process difficult for the jury. They were, however, dazzled by INURU’s OLED technology and resulting illuminating paper, describing it as sustainable and cost-effective to manufacture. They acknowledged INURU’s organic printed paper as a first for printed electronics, applauding it as a great example of progress in the field of smart packaging.
Winning the award means that INURU will be publicized by the German Packaging Institute on all of their PR channels. As well as a trophy and certificate, INURU has won the right to use the German Packaging Awards’ winner’s seal in their advertising. They now have the opportunity to attend multiple events within the industry, and also qualify automatically for participation in the World-Star, the worldwide packaging award hosted by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
And that’s not it - INURU currently has quite some success stories to tell. Read all about it in the interview with founder & CEO Marcin Ratajczak on how he made the startup profitable over the last year.
We expect to hear of plenty more #BigBangMoments from INURU, and we also can’t wait to see your own startup shine!
