Raspberry Pi Info Session with GearboxRSVP

This session will be a general introduction to the Raspberry Pi mini-computer. For the uninitiated, the Raspberry Pi is a small, affordable but powerful computer designed to help users understand and explore the almost-magical world of computing.

This Session is geared at the novice to intermediate, though all are welcome to attend. The topics that will be covered include:

History of the Raspberry Pi

Overview of the hardware and software found on the Pi

A rundown on what the Pi is capable of

An introduction to the Raspberry Pi Build-thon to be held in February

An open and collaborative idea session where we shall list, aggregate and categorise all ideas. Those present shall then self-organise into groups accordingly. An upper limit of 7 Raspberry Pi’s will be made available for building during the Build-thon, as such we can only have a max of 7 groups.

This event will be held from 2:00PM to 5:00PM on the 25th of January 2014.

Please note that we expect registered persons to attend, failing which a note of said absence will be recorded for future reference. If no confirmation email is received, we will assume the registration to be null and void.
