Chase Bank (K) Ltd is one of the fastest growing bank in Kenya. It is the gold sponsor for PIVOT East 2014. The Bank received awards for being the Best SME Bank 2013, Fastest Growing Bank in Kenya in 2009 and 2010, as well as a special award for product innovation, at the Banking awards 2011 and 2013 in recognition for their role in creating innovative products for the SME market. Speaking on the sponsorship, Chase Bank Head of Marketing & Communications Magdalene Mulandi revealed that most economies in the world, Kenya’s included, are moving from being solely industrial to digital and knowledge - based. She highlighted that mobile solutions and trends is the fundamental mechanism supporting economic activity as well as a vehicle that facilitates prosperity in individuals, organisations and nations at large. Ms. Mulandi disclosed that technological entrepreneurship is ripe in Kenya with mobile innovations growing at an unprecedented rate. She noted that Chase Bank’s sponsorship to Pivot East 2014 is a testament to its commitment in investing in innovative projects that particularly augments the growth of entrepreneurial sector. “Sponsoring PIVOT East 2014 and having the chance to see our youth, particularly those with entrepreneurial skills, showcase their mobile solutions and innovations and their potential in the emerging business is exciting. She further added that the Bank’s gold sponsorship for the PIVOT East 2014 comes at the right time as it is ardent about technological developments and investment. Chase Bank is keen on including digital strategy in its business model as part of its brand promise and commitment to deliver innovative products that meet its customers’ ever-changing needs. “Chase Bank presents a significant step towards delivering universal access to financial services. Recently we launched an innovative mobile application platform the Chase Mfukoni. This year PIVOT East competition will emphasize for competitors to persuade active investors to provide funding, hence the partnership with Chase Bank Kenya whose experts will help vet investability of the competing startups.
