Martin Obuya Oracle Corporation yesterday unveiled their ACS Strategy for Africa during a special dinner hosted for selected CIOs/CTOs at Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. Oracle Advanced Support Services is a global organization providing tailored Mission Critical Support services to maximize availability for customers with complex IT requirements. Fixed Scope Service combines unique Oracle Development & Advanced Support expertise with Oracle tools & bets practices to accelerate Return on Investment, optimize performance and improve reliability. Advanced Support Engineers provide highly proactive & preventive support with diagnostic and monitoring tools to anticipate, identify and remediate issues for all Oracle mission critical systems. Strategic Support relationships focused on collaborative, long term partnerships. The Guest of Honor was Antonio Mesa, Vice President, Service Delivery, EMEA, Oracle. The Host was Dr. Gilbert Saggia, Country Director – Kenya, Oracle Africa Operations. Also present was Amr El Guindy, Services Senior Director, Middle East & Africa, Oracle. Local invites were top CIOs/CTOs from iHub, Commercial Bank of Africa, Central Bank of Kenya, Ministry of Information and Communication, Kenya Revenue Authority, United Nations, Chandaria Industries, CFC Stanbic Bank, Safaricom, Orange, Equity Bank, Co-op Bank, Nairobi Stock Exchange, Soliton, Liquid Telecom, Gulf Energy, Tullow, De La Rue, Housing Finance, Doshi Group, Nation Media Group, Kenya Commercial Bank and Sameer Group. Antonio Mesa pledged Oracle total support to ACS across all sectors, with key commitments to set-up Centre of Excellence for engineers at the Oracle Regional Offices plus direct recruitment for highly specialized engineers for the various Turn-Key Projects globally. Dr. Gilbert Saggia lauded the partnership agreement with iHub and pledged more funding for new, creative/innovative ICT projects, plus Oracle was keen in drive solutions to the Counties, while it still engage the National Government thro their special programs, IFMIS and Kenya Revenue Authority. Amr called for a closer collaboration between CIOs/CTOs and Oracle as he cited the success story of CBA in their deployment of Mshwari Product (joint project by Safaricom and Commercial Bank of Africa) via Oracle ACs Platform. iHub was represented by Eng.
